I love
Right Stuf.com. My wallet doesn’t though.
A couple of weeks ago, it had a pretty good sale on Geneon titles, with DVDs ranging from $5 to $15 each. As soon as I heard about the sale, I went and bought 10 DVDs totaling to $50 total (yay no shipping at $49). I bought all of the Tenchi Muyo OVA, Akira, and all but two discs of Last Exile. The other two were sold out (damn opportunists rushing out to buy stuff before anyone else gets a chance).
Luckily, I have already seen these titles, so I can take my time actually getting to them, but this does pile upon an existing problem. I still have to watch all the anime I bought at the Suncoast closing sale.
Of currently running shows, I’m keeping up with Macross Frontier and Code Geass R2. I even catch Adult Swim when I’m home Saturdays and get to see Code Geass season 1 again, as well as Deathnote and Shin Chan while I put off working on the MTSUAC web site.
I have been doing pretty well in my tokusatsu shows. I watched all of Kamen Rider Blade right after I started working. I enjoyed it very much. It was well paced and had a good, non-rushed ending. I’m also keeping up with Kamen Rider Kiva and Engine Sentai Go-onger. Not to mention I finally got to watch the Gekiranger vs Boukenger special, which teams up the previous two sentai teams, both of which I enjoyed. Also rewatched Cassern and the Densha Otoko tv series, and Densha Otoko is always worthy of recommendation.
Hopefully once my internship ends in late July, I’ll spend my weekdays getting through some of the anime I’ve bought and some of the summer series. Then I’ll be all anime’d out, right in time to start the school year and the anime club back up again.
